10/4/01 - The SOL Veterans Cup Final, UCL Academicals vs Centymca will be played on Sunday 22nd April at City of London, Marvels Lane, Grove Park, SE12.
19/3/01 - Martin Woodrow, Neil Gillard and Steve Hair (debutant) have been selected for the AFA Representative side to play the London FA on Thursday 22nd March, 7.30pm kickoff at Dulwich Hamlet FC. Unfortunately as soon as the side was announced the game was cancelled, officially due to a waterlogged pitch. Unofficially this seems to be rather an over-reaction to Hair's selection.
14/2/01 - For the first time in fourteen years the SOL beat the SAL Representative Side, 2-1 at Wingate and Finchley F.C. Both goals were scored by Accies, Gareth Jones and Steve Hair, with Neil Gillard and Steve Murden also making valuable contributions.
12/2/01 - In view of the continuing bad weather the SOL Cup Competitions have been suspended for the next month in an attempt to play as many league games as possible to determine whether we can complete the full league programme, or whether to use a reduced system. A decision will be taken at the SOL Meeting in March. Full details may be found on the SOL website.
7/2/01 - Martin Woodrow has been selected for the AFA Representative side to play London Universities on Wednesday 28th February, 3pm KO at Motspur Park. Neil Gillard was unavailable because of ski-ing commitments.
6/2/01 - Steve Murden, Neil Gillard, Steve Hair and Martin Woodrow have all been selected for the SOL Representative side to play the Southern Amateur League on Wednesday 14th February at Wingate and Finchley F.C., 7.00pm kickoff. Unfortunately the AFA game against Cambridge University due today was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch.
5/2/01 - In view of the continuing weather problems the SOL has decided to make all possible double-headers mandatory except for the Premier Division. This leaves both the 2nd and 4th XI's with double headers this weekend.
22/1/01 - Neil Gillard, Martin Woodrow, Mark Dawson, Gareth Jones, Jon Houghton, Steve Nash and Owen Jones have all been selected for the London Legal League Representative side to play against London Universities at Fisher Athletic on Wednesday 24th January, kickoff 7.15pm. Neil Gillard has also taken over as the Team Manager.
11/1/01 - Neil Gillard and Steve Hair both played for the S.O.L. Representative side in the 2-2 draw against the Stock Exchange. Steve Murden was selected by had to withdraw with an injury.
5/1/01 - Martin Woodrow and Neil Gillard have both been selected for the A.F.A. Representative game against Cambridge University on 6th February 2001, at Grange Road, Cambridge, 2.30pm kickoff. If you wish to attend there is an A.F.A. coach driving to the game and places may be available. The RAF game, postponed before Christmas because of bad weather has also been rearranged.
4/12/00 - Martin Woodrow and Neil Gillard have again both been selected for the A.F.A. Representative game against The Royal Air Force on Thursday 7th December, 1930 kickoff at RAF Uxbridge. If you fancy coming along to watch you'll need security clearance, via the AFA Office, so please contact Danny McConnell as soon as possible.
3/11/00 - Martin Woodrow and Neil Gillard have both been selected for the A.F.A. Representative game against The Navy on Wednesday 15th November, 7.15pm kickoff at Fisher Athletic. Hopefully a full quota of officials will turn up this time - against the Army Neil had to run a line in the first half, before being replaced by Danny McConnell, due to the non-appearance of a linesman! The A.F.A. beat The Army 2-0.
3/11/00 - All games at Shenley this coming weekend have been cancelled. The Colne River has burst its banks, the watercourse is backed up and Shenley underwater. The 4th XI game away to Old Kolsassians in the A.F.A. Cup has also been postponed.
31/10/00 - Neil Gillard has been called up for the A.F.A. Representative side for the game against The Army on Wednesday 1st November.
24/10/00 - Martin Woodrow, Neil Gillard, Mark Dawson and Jon Delaney have all been selected for the London Legal League (midweek) Representative side to play the Arthurian League on Thursday 25th October, at Fisher Athletic, kickoff 7pm. We may try and secure Fisher's ground for home games on Saturdays to ensure an Accie is present there every day of the week!
19/10/00 - Martin Woodrow has again been selected for the A.F.A. Representative side for the game against The Army on Wednesday 1st November, at Fisher Athletic, Salter Road, SE16, kickoff 7.15pm. Martin played the full ninety minutes in the previous game, a 3-2 loss to Oxford University. Neil Gillard is once again in the reserve pool.
16/10/00 - Steve Nash and Steve Murden have been selected for the S.O.L. Representative side for the game against the London Financial League on Wednesday 25th October, at Fisher Athletic, Salter Road, SE16, kickoff 7.00pm.
22/9/00 - Martin Woodrow has been selected in the sixteen man A.F.A. Representative side squad for the first game of the season. Neil Gillard is a reserve. The first match is on Wednesday 11th October 2000, kickoff 7,15pm versus Oxford University. The venue is Fisher Athletic F.C., Salter Road, Rothehithe, SE16.
