Joining the Accies

Welcome to the UCL Academicals Football Club (the "Accies") website.

UCL (University College London) Academicals run six sides in the Amateur Football Combination, playing in and around London every Saturday afternoon between September and May. 

We also run a veterans' side, "The Optimists", playing a mixture of midweek, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning fixtures.

We can cater for all standards of players. We take our football seriously on the day, but playing the right way and enjoying the game is as important as the result. Full kit is provided for all games - all you need is a pair of boots and shin-pads.

Our home ground is the University College London Athletic Ground at Shenley in Hertfordshire, close to junction 22 of the M25. Watford F.C. are now the professional tenants, having taken over from Arsenal (who now train next door), and the ground is regularly used as a training venue for England's international opposition.

UCL Academicals are the alumni club for University College London, although friends of existing Accies are welcome to join.
